How a driveway appointment actually works

If you have never used a mobile groomer, here is the whole thing, start to finish.

  1. Book by phone, text or chat

    Call or text the number on this page, or send a message in the chat box on the home page. Tell us the breed, roughly how long the coat is, and anything we should know about your dog before we arrive.

  2. We park at your curb

    The van needs a legal, reachable place to park near your door and nothing else. No water hookup, no power, no using your bathroom. Everything the groom needs is already on board.

  3. Your dog goes in alone

    One dog at a time. There is no other dog in the van, no kennel to wait in and no car ride to a salon full of strangers, which is most of what makes grooming stressful in the first place.

  4. The groom happens start to finish

    Bath, dry, brush out, haircut, nails and ears, in one continuous session rather than spread over a half day with waiting in between.

  5. We bring your dog back to the door

    You get your dog back clean, dry and finished, usually within a couple of hours, without leaving the house.

What we need from you

  • A legal, reachable place to park near your door. That is genuinely all the van needs, it carries its own water and power.
  • Your dog up to date on rabies vaccination.
  • A heads up about any medical condition, injury, allergy, anxiety or history of biting, before we arrive rather than after.
  • As much notice as you can give if you need to cancel. The van is booked one dog at a time and has to drive to you, so a missed slot is one nobody else could use.

What you will not be asked for

  • Your water. The van carries its own.
  • Your power. Same.
  • A surprise fee at pickup. Prices depend on size, coat and coat condition, and are quoted before we start.
  • A long wait. Most grooms are done and back at your door within a couple of hours.

If something is not safe

We may decline or stop a groom if continuing would not be safe for your dog or for us, and we will tell you plainly why rather than dress it up. That most often comes up with severe matting, where clipping is the kind option even though it is not the one anybody wanted.
